Terry Mungai

MEAL Officer

Terry Mungai is a dedicated MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) professional with a strong social development, research, and technical project management background. With expertise in data management, stakeholder engagement, and program impact assessment, she is committed to using evidence-based approaches to drive sustainable change. Terry is skilled in digital data collection and visualization tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in program monitoring and evaluation.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Maseno University and has pursued various professional certifications, including Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Protection, and Humanitarian Mapping.

At Women’s Empowerment Link (WEL), Terry serves as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Accountability (MEAL) Officer, where she designs project frameworks, develops and refines MEAL tools, and facilitates capacity-building initiatives. Her role is instrumental in ensuring data-driven decision-making, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and advocating for inclusive, evidence-based policies that support women’s empowerment and social justice.

Her previous experience spans across the public sector, telecommunications, humanitarian organizations, and research consulting, where she has contributed to implementing social protection programs, financial inclusion initiatives, community-driven development projects, and data-driven policy advocacy. Through these roles, she has played a key part in project implementation, stakeholder collaboration, and innovative research methodologies.

Passionate about community empowerment, gender equity, and inclusive development, Terry is dedicated to using data-driven solutions to promote social justice and improve the lives of marginalized populations.
