She is an experienced gender, governance, and development specialist, as well as a passionate human rights advocate with 10 years of expertise in gender, program planning, and project management. She holds a degree in Community Development and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in International Development.
Throughout her career, Juliann has successfully led initiatives on gender, human rights, governance, and youth empowerment. Her work spans mentorship, participating in policy development, advocacy, and human rights programming. Juliann thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to creating meaningful, sustainable change, having worked extensively with marginalized and underserved communities. She has led programs addressing leadership, governance, and social inclusion, while also driving advocacy efforts.
Currently serving as Programme Coordinator at Women’s Empowerment Link (WEL), Juliann coordinates projects under the transformative leadership and governance program, which promotes gender-sensitive practices and enhances women’s participation in decision-making through transformative feminine leadership. Her responsibilities include developing training content and modules, supporting communities in forming social movements, advocating for policies, leading awareness-raising initiatives, and strengthening structures to embrace gender equality and women’s leadership. Juliann also works to foster stakeholder collaboration at various levels, strengthening community networks and supporting community-led feminist movements.
