Edwina Ambasa Oyamo is an Assistant Project Officer at Women’s Empowerment Link. She is a development professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies and a passionate feminist dedicated to empowering women and young girls. Her work focuses on training programs that equip young women and girls with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in climate action and contribute to environmental protection.
She is currently supporting a climate change project in Homabay County, Climate Change Coping and Adaptation Strategies Among Young Women in Rusinga and Mfangano Island. Through this initiative, she has facilitated community forums to raise awareness on gender-inclusive climate action, using the Community Climate Champions approach to promote environmental responsibility among local communities.
She is an adventurer who enjoys exploring new places and hopes to visit more countries to learn about different approaches to women’s empowerment. Beyond her professional work, she is passionate about creating opportunities for women and young girls to thrive in sustainable development.
