At Women’s Empowerment Link (WEL), we believe in a world where women and girls fully realize their rights and potential. Established in 2007, WEL is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through strategic interventions in leadership, advocacy, and sustainable development. To strengthen our impact, we are seeking a Program Manager to spearhead our efforts in transformative leadership and governance.
Key Responsibilities: As the Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that promote women’s representation in leadership roles across various sectors. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, implementing, and evaluating programs to empower women in leadership positions, whether appointed, elected, or nominated.
Establishing and fostering partnerships with public and private sectors to advance policies and structures that uphold women’s rights.
Organizing capacity-building activities, including training and mentorship sessions under the National Women’s Leadership Academy.
Leading the development of advocacy tools, research materials, and campaigns to promote transformative leadership.
Monitoring program outcomes and providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in program management, advocacy, or gender-focused projects.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Experience in research, policy analysis, and training facilitation is highly desirable.
