Program Manager

At Women’s Empowerment Link (WEL), we believe in a world where women and girls fully realize their rights and potential. Established in 2007, WEL is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through strategic interventions in leadership, advocacy, and sustainable development. To strengthen our impact, we are seeking a Program Manager to spearhead our efforts in transformative leadership and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that promote women’s representation in leadership roles across various sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating programs to empower women in leadership positions, whether appointed, elected, or nominated.
  • Establishing and fostering partnerships with public and private sectors to advance policies and structures that uphold women’s rights.
  • Organizing capacity-building activities, including training and mentorship sessions under the National Women’s Leadership Academy.
  • Leading the development of advocacy tools, research materials, and campaigns to promote transformative leadership.
  • Monitoring program outcomes and providing regular reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management, advocacy, or gender-focused projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in research, policy analysis, and training facilitation is highly desirable.
