Nurat is young feminist and an advocate for gender equality, human rights and dignity, with 5 years’ practical expertise in addressing issues related to children, adolescents, youth, women, gender, climate justice, leadership, governance and both humanitarian and development challenges. She holds a (first-class honours) Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Women and Development Studies and certifications in Disability Mainstreaming, Child Safety; Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response; Data Protection and Management; Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Process; Promotion and Protection of Refugees and Host Communities’ Rights; HRBA, SRHR, ‘We Matter Value Us’ for persons living with HIV/AIDS; Sexual Minority Rights in Africa from The Centre for Human Rights- University of Pretoria. Nurat is adept at training, facilitation, community engagement, coordination and planning, financial planning and business development. Over the past 3 years, Nurat has dedicated her career to programmatic support and advocacy in projects aimed at Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, Economic Empowerment, and Transformative Leadership and Governance with WEL.
